CRV - pulling the fuel pump fuse for anti-theft security ??
I'm the original owner of a 2015 LX CRV - we've had several thefts at the airports near me - the entire cars were stolen, not just the catalytic converter - I'm thinking about removing the fuel pump fuse while my car is parked at the airport to make it impossible to start - no fuel = no start, right - and then plugging the fuse back in when I return to drive the car home. Will this approach work as intended, and am I likely to run into any fuel-system related problems like having to reset the fuel pump, problems with the fuel pump relay, or anything like that? I'm not interested in anything like "The Club" (VERY easily defeated), leaving the car at home, getting a shuttle to the airport, parking in a "safe, well-lit area" (I already do that and that's exactly where previous thefts happened), and talking with a good insurance agent (I already have good coverage. Thanks in advance . . .
