Emission warning light.

How do I turn off the emission warning light? I checked my gas filler cap and it was loose. I put it on correctly. but it did not shut off. What am I missing ?

welcome to the forum. normally it takes a few cycles to have the light go off. not just start and shut down.

Welcome in,you might try clearing it with an OBD2 reader.
