Default Ground clearance

Do 2WD CR-V's...any year...have any greater ground clearance than the AWD's do?...is the resonator able to be tucked up any higher due to no rear drive shaft on the 2WD's? Any other reasonable solution to this problem?
Would MUCH rather have a CR-V for a motorhome towable than a Jeep, but that huge resonator hanging down there reduces the AWD CR-V ground clearance down to not much more than my Buick Century, even on the 1st Generation CR-V's. Not looking for a rock crawler, just something with an AT that can be flat-towed and can handle some forest/desert roads without anything hanging down to catch on rocks, etc.

Welcome in,the ground clearance on CRV's through 2016 is 6.7 inches and the new CRV is 8.2 considerable difference,as for the res,you might be able to get an aftermarket piece that is smaller, check into it.good luck.
