My Honda CRV 2011 AC system is acting up in a strange way that I could not find any previous thread for it. Hence, posting it here to see if others have experience before.
AC system works fine in the morning when engine is cold. After half to 1 hr of run as engine gets hotter, it stops generating cold air. Next morning its fine again
I have checked and the clutch does not engage when it's hot.
I have bridged the relay to force it to start and when engine is hot I don't hear the click noise of clutch engagement. When engine is cold, the click is audible.
I have also bridged the thermal switch on the body of compressor to no avail.
wondering if this is a failing clutch or something else I might be missing.
Wanna do all my due diligence before condemn the AC compressor and have to replace it at a high cost.

Your answer is No. Air flow does not reduce. Just turns warm due to the lack of AC compressor clutch engagement.
Do you think this is a failing Clutch? (Not failed completely yet).

 

Do you have a scan tool that can read live data?
