Default Intake and exhaust valves

First an FYI, did you know that Honda Engines especially a CR-V needs to have the Valves adjusted every so many miles? Well they do. I could have saved myself a little trouble if I had known that.
Anyway, I have one burnt valve on my 2001 Honda CR-V according to my Mechanic. Can I just have that one replaced with a new one or should I have all the valves replaced with new ones, But I do have the opportunity to get valves with wear like mine off a 1999 CR-V. Which would be better for my engine?

welcome to the forum. Yes all Honda's need their valves adjusted. 2001 CR-V owners manual page 206 under maintenance 3ed list to the left, last line. it is a better idea to change all valves due to doing the same thing for 1 valve just takes a bit longer and you can view how the rest of your valves and seats are doing. (change one and a few more miles another will be going) the head has to come off, almost a top end overhaul. or may think of getting a replacement engine. need to do research on good replacement engine vs top overhaul vs milage. your mech can advise you better.http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/p...u/CR0101OM.PDF

acmech52, Thank you for your response. I was afraid that I would need to change them all. I knew it would be best though, a second opinion is always good. Now to contact my Mechanic and see what he will charge to replace them for me. I can order a new head but with no guarantee it's in any better shape than the one I have so, New intake and exhaust valves and gasket set it is. Now to see if I'm going to need or take out a small mortgage on my home..... I'll let y'all know what the verdict is once I contact him.
Side note: acmech52 thank you for the link for the "user" manual. It's a lot better than the book I got with my CRV.
I couldn't figure out how to reply, But I will.
