Default no oil change indication for 9 months!

Hi,

I have bought 2008 CR-V in April 08, and I am driving it occasionally. It only has 3000 miles by now.And the oil life is at 80%.

Should I go for oil change, or wait for it to drop down below 20%?

Thanks for suggestions.

Default RE: no oil change indication for 9 months!

welcome to the forum, old school was to change the oil at 3k or 6 mos. the oil now made will last a long time. Since it is your first break-in oil, I still would suggest 6 mos.I do beleive thatwhen a car sits more then drives, it isgood to change the oil each 6 mos. I am the opposite, each 7kI change mine due to 33k miles per year driven and oil reading is 20%. 07 Fit base.
Call your dealership and advise them of the 3k miles but 6 mosof ownernership. See what their input is.
