Remote Start
I had a 2016 CR V with an aftermarket remote start added on. It was made by Viper. it worked great for 5 years and had plenty of range.
traded in 2016 CR V on a new 2021 CR V Hybrid. The factory remote start is nothing like my old Viper!
It only has a range of around 100 feet and will not verify that vehicle is running.
Can I install a aftermarket remote start with more range, even though I have the factory installed remote start???
Thanks!
Mike

welcome to the forum. Before you do anything to your CR-V under warranty, call or drive down to your dealership service manager and ask him if you can install this unit. He may say yes but if it burns up anything in the wiring Honda Warranty may not cover it. or he may say purchase it and we will install it and the warranty will cover. which ever the service manager does have him document it in writing.
