Default Window motor replacement

I am trying to replace a power window motor on an 05 CR-V. I got the motor off just fine, but it is still connected to the regulator and I cannot see behind the metal panel in order to unplug/replug the regulator from the motor. Is it possible to remove the metal panel in order to have access? I don't want to start taking off bolts that don't need to be messed with. Any advice would be appreciated. I have not been able to find instructions or video on this particular part of the process.

Normally the window motor and regulator comes as a set.
Maybe this video might help to show what is done???
Good luck

I just replaced the window regulator on the drivers door of my 97 CRV. Mine came as a whole unit. It was eight bolts all together, four on the motor, two on the small slide and two on the large slide connecting the window. It looked intimidating, but the whole process was really quite quick and simple. There is also several YouTube videos on replacing the window regulator.
