hey guys, new here to the forum. i got a problem with my 78 750. i was riding it 3 months ago stored it and tried to start it yesterday. had to charge the battery and once i got it started and and the bike idling, the battery would run out of juice. i recharged it again and was able to take it out on the road for about 2 min before the battery died again? im mechanically stupid, i just would rather get your guy's ideas before going and getting ripped off at the dealer when i could get the part on ebay for five bucks and fix it myself.

 

Check to see if the alternator is recharging the battery.
My 750 just had the alternator redone at 22,000 miles.
