Filter failed and lost all of the engine oil, the engine did shutoff when filter failed. After installing new filter (different brand) and new oil the engine will turn over, plugs will fire, and engine has fuel, but will not start. I checked the injectors are firing and the engine has compression, any ideas?....I am in the process of checking the balance shaft belt as a noise was heard as engine oil light came on........One thing to add to the confussion is that when you turn the key on the dash shows the park light and the D4light on dash in a few seconds the D4 light goes out??????.....obvisously I need help has anyone ran across any of this....Thanks Ron

 

I found the problem..after taking the engine apart, meaning the timing cover , i found that the egine had jumped time at the same exact moment the filter failed, go figure. Not sure why the egine jumped time but it was blessing in deguise, because the enine died when it jumped time probably saving the engine.....anyway just wanted to update this listing....Thanks Ron
