Last year I bought a 1999 Accord LX I-4-sedan from the original owner. He gave me 2 original Honda keys said there was no remote or fob. Recently, the car started beeping and would not start like a security system had been tripped. I poked around under the dash and sure enough I found an "Executive 3000 ATV keyless entry & security" module. I disconnected all the harnesses from the module and the car started right up. Does anyone know if this model was a dealer installed part or strictly after market? I'm looking for an installation manual to check the connections and figure out which fob I need to get this to work properly. Thanks. This is a an actual photo of the unit and I attached the owner's manual I found online.
I am determined to see if something that is already installed can be made to work again. I understand this is not a factory installed unit, but it my be a dealer installed option. If Honda approved it, then there should be installation specs out there somewhere. I cannot find them searching online. If you or anyone else is familiar with this model and have installation specs/instructions, I am thankful if you can share them. I would feel better if my daughter could unlock her car at night with a remote rather than fumbling for keys in the dark.
I am aware of that website. There are several different compatible remotes for this unit. Depending on which features are installed determines which remote I need. If I had an installation diagram, I could visually asses which functions are wired up and decide which remote to get.
I have the wiring diagrams and with the module being labeled should be easy to do what you want. The problem is why did it cause a no start? If everything is hooked up correctly what then?
Tell me which engine and if it's ultra low emissions or not.
