2010 CRV Blend Door Actuator
I have a 2010 CRV EX-L and having heating issues on the driver side vent. I removed the driver side blend door actuator and I have a few questions.
1) The Denso part is stamped with PP-GF20+M20 and is labeled AW063800-1640. Is the correct replacement a Santech part number MT18689 for the driver side blend door?
2) The Denso door actuator has a plastic wheel attached which has a pin to rotate the door - and I don't see how to remove it, and don't see a keeper pin on the shaft (I have tried to grip, pry and pull with no luck).
3) Does anyone know which electrical contact pins on the actuator to use for a 12 volt bench test?
I would appreciate any comments you might offer for this repair. Thanks

Can not tell if it is or isn't the right part. You have the parts in front of you and must make the comparasion.
On the HVAC system, there are 3 actuators. One for air mix (hot or cold), one for mode (which vent to come out), one for recirculation/fresh air.
In the USA market, the driver's side is the air mix actuator. It has a 7 pin connector. Pins 1 and 2 are the controls.
Power and ground to pins one and 2 will move actuator to max hot or max cool depending upon polarity.
Once it reaches the max power must be disconnected or it will break the unit. Self destruct.
Resistance between pin 5 and 7 should be 4.2 to 7.8k ohms.
When unit is plugged in and ignition key is on then voltage reading between pin 3 and 7 should be
when in max cool about 0.5 volts
When in max hot about 4.5 volts

Thanks for the info. I was able identify the pins and take some readings from the temperature controller, which agreed with your numbers. I took apart the actuator and still was unable to remove the black plastic cam from the shaft. It appears a replacement actuator will have to include this cam as one unit, but the Santech actuator apparently doesn’t.
