Just drained and refilled my diff and I put in 2 quarts and ~8 oz. Manual says it should be 1.9ish quarts. Can you overfill? I filled to about 1.8, started the engine, put in dirve for 10 set and spun the tires, then stopped wheels and put in reverse and spun the wheels ~ 10 seconds, then back in drive for 10 sec., finally put in park and continue to run engine for ~20 sec. NO spill or overflow. Topped up fluid until it just started to flow out the fill whole,,, wiped everything up and reinstalled the fill plug.

welcome to the forum. as long as you filled it as per manual you should be good to go. also using proper fluid per manual. keep up the good work.
