Default 98 honda accord no crank no click

98 honda accord lx 4cyl manual

No crank no click no start

Brand new battery, replaced both battery cables and the starter, still nothing so i replaced the ignition switch. still nothing.

Lights do not dim when key is turned. both 100a and 50a fuses look good.

starter can be jumped to start car.

EDIT* starting to think it is starter cut relay.
EDIT#2* found fragments of the clutch safety switch grommet under the floor mat. This is almost certainly the issue. *This was the issue*
EDIT#3 To anybody finding this with a web search check the floor for fragments of blue black plastic fragments. If You find them just buy a 4 pack of clutch grommets off amazon and go ahead and replace all 3 as the other two are probably getting ready to go also.
Important Note! YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE THE WHOLE CLUTCH ARM. Just tape some BBQ skewers or chopsticks together stick the clutch grommet on the end and you can get that grommet up and in position. depress the clutch, stick it in the hole then push the clutch in all the way to keep it in place. Grab a flat head screw driver and press it in to seat the pad in the hole. It is a tight spot to work in but it can be done.

The way to troubleshoot a no stat is to start at the relay. jump it and see if it starts.

yeah wish i had looked at a diagram first no biggie, the wires needed replacing anyway and the starter was the original, 26 years old. could have saved a couple bucks on the switch though.

I have no wires or a jumper to try but it's just a 15 dollar part and my luck i will end up breaking it taking it out anyway. Thanks for the reply i had not even considered jumping the relay.
