Hey every one .
I have a HRV at 199993 Km on the dial
Its time to replace the timming belt.
Everything is off but the crank shaft pully. Is there a certain tool to undo this pully.[X(]
If so what is it? where can i get it?
I don't have anything to lock the motor, i need to get something.
Any one got any ideas?[:@]

I just did one on a 91 civic 1.5...I was going nuts trying to get the bolt off. I tryed a piece of tire in the ring gear. I tryed holding the pulley with metal rod and use a 1/2" breaker. I chipped a piece of the pulley...don't try that..I used a 1/2" Impact driver set at 120psi..no go...150psi no go...cranked it to 200psi...the bolt came off so fast I thought I stripped the head...One thing to keep in mind...use at least 200psi to tighten it. if the bolts loosens, you will shear the key and blow the crank...happens a lot...good luck.

Sorry Proff...I didn't read your second line till after I posted...your going to have to drill it out and use and eazyout to back the broken piece out. However, you might try using a center punch and try and catch the outter part of the bolt ( don't damage the threaded hole) and punch straight into the bolt first to create a punch mark. Then tip the punch and lightly tap the bolt CCW. The trick is to get off center but not to close the edge. I have removed a lot of broke bolts that way. With the pressure cause by the bolt head gone, it might just work.

thanks for that
I did drill it out, using a small light grain oil spray can , we call here in Australia WD40.
it came out wilth ease
I fitted the new timming belt[8D]
fitted what i can think of as all the right bolts in the right holes and now i drive the car to work OK
The strange thing is that I have 2 bolts left over
I need a photo of the engine for the HRV timming belt cover from all angles, the alternator brackets> the power steering mounting> the air conditioning mounting
I need to work out where those 2 bolts go[:@]
