Default Dealer Mechanic permanently screwed up my dashboard

Hi all, quick question regarding customer rights when it comes to a mechanic permanently screwing up your car. Sorry if this is not the place to post...

So I brought in my 2010 Honda Accord crosstour for the passenger side airbag recall to a Honda dealer. When I got the car back the glove compartment was misaligned and there was a nick in the dash (looks like a screwdriver). I brought it to their attention and set up another time to replace the glove compartment and try and fix the nick. Nothing changed after the replacement, still a nick and still misaligned. They are offering a $50 service credit and I’m more of the mind that they either replace the dash or give me the cost of the dash replacement. I really don’t want to have to do that repair but I don’t know how else to solve this. Any ideas on how to handle this situation?

welcome to the forum. you might get a hold of american honda and file a claim. make sure you document and take pictures of what happened. and what the dealer is or is not doing,. details will count in writing time and date. have the same dealer try to fix it again, not want the money, want it fixed. they seem to be taking the lesser cost way out. no pride of workmenship.

You also may want to talk to the dealer Mgr. they don't want bad publicity out about their dealership.
