Engine Stalls
I have a 1996 honda accord lx 4cyl, 16v. I have read alot of the postings on this concern, however still not sure how to proceed for a lasting fix. Engine will idle for 9-14 minutes the die like turning the key off. Wait about 20 min eng starts up and runs another 9-14 min. Charging, fuel pump, battery, coil work fine. I am out of ideas, need some positive feedback fo a sure fix......THANKS..

Welcome to the forum, there are a number of things it could be,you have touched on a few items to check,
If the warning lights do not come on when it dies, the ignition switch may be failing. It may also be the crank sensor, cleaning the throttle body and, if necessary, the Idle Air Control valve, is a good place to start. But the EGR can also cause stalling at idle if the valve is sticking open a bit. Cleaning the EGR valve is a good thing to do, but you may need a crow's foot wrench to get the valve off.Good luck, Bobby
