Not revving passed 4k

Not revving passed 4k

My 02 honda accord won't rev past 4k and I've already replaced the vvt valve, could anyone explain why it's doing this or how i can fix it. Only code was for the vvt valve.

Are you full throttle the entire time? What happened to the code?

it will do it at any throttle position as long as it hits 4k it'll just bounce off it, the code also went away.

Sounds like you have a rev limiter. In park and pedal to the floor where does it limit 4K?

no it revs fully to 6k in park, it's just driving that it does it
