Default Programming unlock when turn off car

Hello. I searched the forums, but I don't always get my search terms correct.

I have a 2010 Honda CRV which loses it door unlock programming. I have reprogrammed it several times, it works once or twice and loses the programming. Another thing I noticed is the horn no longer sounds when I push the fob lock button several times.
I have checked the battery, the meter shows 12 volts. (The battery is about six years old)

I would like to get it to hold the programming, but if it doesn't, I don't want to worry about it. Does the module that holds this programming important?
Thank you

The module is the MICU and yes it is important.
It is part of the immobilizer and body control module
It is located behind the under dash fuse box.

If you take it out then whole car goes dead
You will have one large paper weight.
If you try to replace it then it needs to be reprogrammed at the dealership costing lots of money.

Okay, thank you. I searched for the Multiplex Control Unit (MICU). The doors lock/unlock by the fob or the button on the door. The windows go up and down, the horn works. The only issue is, when I program the doors to unlock when I turn the car off, it loses that program,
I will stop by the dealership and ask them for a price quote.

Ask about the issue first : then ask what can be done.
Do not only ask to replace the MICU or they will do just that and you will pay for it.
Even if that does not fix the issue, you will pay.
