Default Panic Alarms & Door locks

My key will only unlock the driver's door although the door switch will lock & unlock all doors. The locks will lock & unlock by themselves while I am driving.

The other issue is the panic alarm going off without me triggering it by actually tripping the the button.

I have replaced the battery in the key. Any ideas?

I took it to the dealership garage but they had no thoughts, said they would get their lead technician to hook it up & have diagnostics run. In fact, while he was writing down my car information, the doors locked by themselves & keys were still in ignition.

Default MICU needs replacing

Took it into the garage, they did diagnostics, was told the MICU needed to be replaced & would cost me $725.00 for that. Wondering if this is something I can do & where I might find an instructional manual for this.

go to google honda micu and it will show you on utube how to change it. will need to have at least a medium knowledge to locate, remove and replace connectors, looks easy will take an hour or two.

So did you get this?

Such a problem is scary to think about as my Accord (2002) will lock itself at times. This may be a default security setting on a timer. It won't lock if the key is in the ignition though.

Default Door locks

This was happening to my 2007 Accord. Dealership wanted nearly $800 to replace the MICU which they said was bad. I did not have the money so I picked up my car. Well it has been a month now & the panic alarm has not gone off, nor have the locks moved up & down in their own or locked on their own. It's a mystery but problem appears resolved.

Glad it fixed itself!

You might want to keep your eyes open for replacement parts anyway and if/when you find the piece you need, go on and pick it up. I went to a junkyard last week for the rims and driver's side mirror for my own Accord. However, prices were so low and parts so nice I went on and got the spare tire, lug wrench, jack, jack tool, all interior door handles, and three of the interior door panels. I figured "in case any of mine break." I also got the passenger side mirror.

I'm considering going back for the four doors, tail lights, and trunk lid.......just in case I get into a crash or need something!
