1990 Honda Accord TPS problems.
I have been encountering a problem with the idleing of the car. One day it just starts idleing up and down. We have trouble shooted our way to the TPS. Throttle position sensor. Problem is, the throttle body and TPS are all one peice. Cannot just replace the TPS, it is not removable. Well the dealer doesnt manufacture the complete assembly. Junk yard item only.
We tried to unplug the TPS, and the RPM's climbed to 3000 rpm's. Any idea's on what the problem is, or if that is even the problem. All of the chilton and haynes manuals say our issue is the TPS. Ihave witnessed this with other make and models I have worked on, that TPS sensor is a must. Please , I except all with info. Thank you
