2002 Accord V6 Automatic Transmission problems
My 102,000 tranny has ben shifting harder than usual. I've been advised to add a transmission oil cooler and change the tranny fluid every 15K miles. I also saw someone clean out their solenoid located underneath the air filter assembly. Is the latter advised? Will it mess up the seals?
if you have never had the fluid changed, change it, run it for a while, then change it again. then change it once each year. do one item at a time or you will not know if the fluid change fixed the problem. also you do not need a trans cooler if you do not tow anything. trans coolers are used to assist transmissions that have heavy pull load for long distance.
I'm really hoping it's nothing more than that. Also, would adding a trans oil cooler have negative effects? I just moved to FL and with the transmissions in CG7 being "glass like" it couldn't hurt, right? Thanks for the feedback.
