My Civic is a 2002 with +130K miles. A few months ago, I had the transmission fluid changed at a dealership garage. Since then the tranny has seemed sluggish. Could the change in fluid have effected it?

 

Have you driven down to the dealership to tell them what is happening since the fluid change, they may just say your transmission is worn out.. tell them that you know of civics with auto trans have gone 300k miles with proper service. or they may change the fluid again to see if that helps.
