Default 2013 honda accord problem?

So I just purchased a brand new 2013 Honda accord sport 2.4l auto cvt today. While I was driving home on the highway, suddenly the engine light started flashing and the revs started dropping. I pulled over on the highway, put it in park and back to drive. Problem still existed... the car moves a tiny bit but no power when I hit the gas. I then turned the car off then on, and it seemed to fix the problem. I drove it home and it seemed fine but is this anything to be worried about? has anyone have this happen before?

Regards,

DiZ

welcome to the forum. Not many of us have the oppertunity to purchase a new honda, but my suggestion is to write down what happened and take it to the Dealer you purchased it from and start a record of what happened in the event it happens again. allow them to check all systems and see if they may know what caused it. anything under warrenty needs to be taken care of at the dealer.

I had a similar issue and more (2013 Honda Accord LX)

If the dealer hasn't identified it yet, have them look at the engine wiring harness.

Good Luck

Forgot to post solution. I brought it to the dealer and apparently there was way too much oil in it. I think they messed up at the factory... they checked the dip stick and saw the oil line was way higher than the recommended so they syphoned out a couple liters of oil. My car has been running fine since.
