92 Accord Oil balancer shaft LEAKS !
Today I bought someone else's HEADACHE and took it home.
When I pulled the timing belt cover off I saw that the balancer shaft seal is completely out of the engine. SCORE ! maybe I have found the oil leak ?
I thinks so.
Questions -
Is there any service bulletin related to these seals coming loose?
Is there a GOOD way to keep them inside ?
ie: a special adhesive ?
An after market retainer ring
Use of a large CHISEL to "pin" the seal in place?
A special brand of seal to use (or AVOID) ?
Seriously, all thoughts appreciated.

Balancer shaft seal leak SOLUTION
I found the solution at AutoZone. I was getting the Timing belt there so I asked about the seal too. Timing belts (DURALAST 95186 and 95187) which looks SUSPICOUSLY like the GATES belt # 186 and 187 ... Hmmm,I WONDER who makes those parts for AUTOZONE ???
SO I asked for the seal and the guy asked me if I wanted the seal "KIT" or just the seal?
DORMAN makes a seal kit that includes a retainer bracket that bolts to the front of the engine block that "holds " the seal in place.
DORMAN part # 917 006 (about $9.00) Complies with Honda's TSB.
You can email me if you want to see a picture of the kit.
