Hello,

This is my first post here. I just changed the entire exhaust (from catalytic converter to muffler) for $1000. I might have been ripped off but it had to be done, i guess.

Now I noticed two somethings hanging from below the car, right next to the exhaust pipe. One of them fell off the other is still hanging (pic). It looks like a piece of metal that is supposed to keep something in place, although the part above it seems to be in place even though the thing is hanging.

Does anyone know what this friggin thing is? Just so that before I go back to the garage shop I'll have an idea and he won't try to sell me expensive parts again for no reason. Also if I could drive the car for a couple of hours I can take it to my regular shop who is a lot cheaper than the one located where I temporarily live.
