Default 97 accord timing belts

I have a 97 accord lx 2 dr. coupe. Was changing the head gasket and since it was a good idea to do the water pump and timing belt, it has begun. I noticed there was only one timing belt on my car, but there was clearly another one that could go on. my car ran fine when it came to be worked on, with the one timing belt, but was wondering if i should have two or just go with the one. Not sure what the other one does, maybe something about balancing. When i bought the timing belt, no questions were asked as to which one or both, just got the one. Can some one please clarify what the other one is for and do I need it. Need to add this is a 4 cylinder motor, non v-tech.

welcome to the forum. your 4 cyl 2.4liter engine has one timing belt. if you change the water pump, change the crankshaft seal, camshaft seal, and the tensioner all at the same time. many change the belt and forget the water pump and then it starts to leak, or the cam or crank seal leaks. do all this while you have it apart. then peace of mind and not have to go back in until the next timing belt change. also check any other belt you may have. a/c, alt.
