Hello everyone. My new grandchild lives in the city and I have a tough time judging space for parallel parking. I do not have navigation in my model. My local custom car installer says this could be a problem. He already looked into one unit, but I need navigation.

Cellular units may not be that dependable, I have read. I have 117k on my car and it still runs like it was new. Didn’t let my last one go until 160k and it was still a solid car. Usually I try to have a family member help me with judging distance, but sometimes I have to do it on my own. Wish I could have a back up system and feel more independent.

Has anyone installed a unit that has a good visual display, without having navigation native to the car?
