Default Basic maintenance-disc pads, spark plugs

Hi-I've done most of my basic maintenance for years on Honda Accords, my last was 1995. My latest is a 2005 EX. Anything different I should look out for when changing spark plugs and disc pads? Also, the maintenance light on the right side of the dash lights is on full time, which is normal. How can I turn it it off?
Thanks.

welcome to the forum. 95 and 05, lots of difference. go to your accord owners manual and you will find the instructions to turning the maintenance needed light off. I beleive you turn key on to II position, (don't start) push the reset button to oil life, hold for a bout 10 seconds, it will start to blink, release, and hold for about 5 sec, and the wrench light will go out.
