Tried it today for the first time and it's a no go. I pull the **** in the trunk and don't hear any click or thump. Can't pull the seats down. Is this a common problem?

Though I bought it in Feb. 2013 it has only 35,000 miles......AND I got the 8-year extended warranty. Is that sort of thing covered under warranty?

 

welcome to the forum. just try this before you give up, have one person pull on the t-lever in the trunk as the second person in the back seat pulls the seat back towards the front, or bump the seat back towards the back of the car to help unlatch the hook. if not, the cable may be broken. you will need to reak the 8 year extended warranty to see what that covers. normally it will be engine and drive train, not cables. you can call the dealership and ask to be sure, never hurts to ask.

 

had the same problem with my 99 accord when I first bought it used,,,seems the rear seat was never folded down and things got "stuck" so to speak . like acmech52 said have someone pull the seat while you unlatch it . I worked the seat back and forth till it freed up and now all works well
