I have a 2013 Honda Accord SE with 160K miles. Getting an INTERMITTENT P0420 code. I have replaced spark plugs, PCV valve, and both sensors. I do not notice any reduced performance. I am attaching bottom views of front cat conv. Can anyone look at these pics and tell if the cat conv might be clogged or clogging? Any advice would be appreciated before I bite the bullet and invest in a new cat.
Has the engine had any issues with misfires? Using any oil? A cat can be damaged without plugging up.
No misfires that I have noticed. I did notice that it appeared to be consuming oil but there are no visible leaks. When I recently changed the plugs there was no visible sign of carbon just normal wear and tear of spark plugs. I just sent some oil out for an oil analysis and I'm waiting on the results.
