I have a 1999 Accord LX 4 cyl that is throwing 3 codes. I have been told that I need to replace the distributor for code P1381. No big deal, I'll put one on.

The other 2 codes, P1738 & P0700, I have been told that I need a transmission replacement. I kind of find that hard to believe. All of the info that I have found points at the 2nd gear pressure switch or a wire condition. I am not going to put a trans in @ 267k, but a switch I will give a shot with. The P0700 is set because of the P1738 code.

Anyone have any knowledge of these items?

 

welcome to the forum. I have no knowledge of the items, but you are correct in changing the pressure switch on the 2nd gear and checking the wire condition.
