Default 02 civic front brake issue

I've had this issue for a couple weeks. The drivers side wheel heats up so you can't touch the wheel lugs. I took it to one guy and he said it was the caliper. He replaced it with a rebuilt one. Issue still persists. Took it to another shop and he said it was the brake hose. He replaced it. Still the left front wheel heats up so you can't touch the lug nuts. Does anyone here know anything about brakes and how to resolve this issue?

No idea. I guess that would be the next thing to replace. Is there any way to check? I know the passenger side lug nuts dont get hot at all. Could it also be Master Cylinder?

If the master cylinder locks up then either both front or all four brakes lock up
So doubtful to be master cylinder being the cause.

With the front of car jacked up on jack stands and parking brakes engaged, (front wheel drive only) spin driver's side wheel
and have someone step on brake then let go
Check to see if the caliper lets go of the wheel by spinning the wheel
If it moves freely then wheel bearing is suspect
If it doesn't want to move then caliper is suspect.
In that case could be caliper, hose, guide pins, bracket ... (holding pads against rotor)

Good luck

When the second guy replaced the hose and blead the brakes on the lift he had a helper hold the brake pedal down and release it as he spun the wheel. When he pressed down the wheel didnt turn. When he let off the brake the wheel spun freely.

Did he do that test before he replaced the hose?
That would have told you whether it was or was not the hose at fault.
Also, checking it now, after it shows the same heating up symptom, will give you a clearer picture.

Still some will just throw parts at the car hoping to fix it.
Wish you good luck
