Recently bought a 1987 CRX. It ran great for a few days, but suddenly started to die on me. Got the car home one night, and it refused to start ever since. I have replaced ignition coil, ignition wire, spark plug wires, spark plugs and the sorts. What I've sorted out so far however is that the ignition coil is not giving out any spark, tested this with ignition wire to a ground, and it produced no spark at all. Just wondering if anybody has had similar issues, or what I should check next, whether it be sensors or relays, or maybe my wiring.

 

Check powers and grounds going to the ignition coil?

 

welcome to the forum. to check. main relay, timig belt for damage or slip, check to see if the cam is turning, good charged battery. need to check ecm to see if it is sending a message to coil to fire off. there are a few how to check the firing system in utube in google also.
