Default 2001 Civic timing belt

2001 Civic LX with 60,000 miles on it. At what mileage should the timing belt be changed? (or is it a timing chain?) How much should I expect to pay? Thanks in advance.

civic belt 90k to 112k depending on driving condition. I changed mine at 110k belt looked good. hwy driving. shops charge 250.00 - 500.00 depending on dealer or repair shop. I had a friend do mine using all honda parts, water pump, cam and crank gaskets. 02 civic.
