Default 2003 Honda Civic engine code

I have a 2003 Honda Civic 45,000 miles and the check engine light just came on and the tranny started to shift at higher RPM's, and also I feel the downshifts, I took the the car to a local Advanced auto and had it scaned and it said TPS sensor Bad? The Tranny doesn"t do it all the time but ever since the check engine light came on thats when it strarted. Do you think there is any relation in the two. Please Help!

welcome to the forum, yes there is a relation, if your tps sensor is bad, it can allow the trans to get the wrong message and shift at higher rpm's.

it may help to clean the sensor. if the light stays out, you may not have to reset the computer.
