Default 2004 civic ex

Ok so I am looking too spice up the the civic seeing as it is the slow... does any one know what I would need to swap the old d17 out for a fresh b18 c or a type r motor ... I am having alot of trouble finding alot of info dealing with this generation civic.

you would be wasting money if you were to do a b18c gsr or c5 type r swap. For one your close to pushing 150bhp. so why bother to do such an expensive swap for 2-4k ? if you invested the same amount of money for a swap into your own d17 your likely to produce well over 300bhp. for example. spend 300 on forged rods, 200 on forged pistons. 200 on port and polish, and 300 on camshaft, 300 on valvtrain, and 1k on turbo kit. about 1k on fuel management. your looking at 15 psi of boost holding a smack of 250bhp.. so why bother with b series at all.. not a good idea. stick with your engine..and if you feel the need to and become daily driver pushin 290 to 320 at 20-25 psi of boost... good luck and happy driving.. by the way single cams kick ***.. and screw vtec its all bull crap.. ulll learn that when you get into the racing era sooner or later. safe driving..

Thanks for the input I knew that I could do that but I was looking to do an na car but maybe you are right i should just boost it. I have had two forced induction prior to this vehicle and a jdm swapped prelude h22 on juice
