94 civic a/c belt tension

Default 94 civic a/c belt tension

hi got a 94 civic last aug and it had the a/c still in it but was missing the belt so i bought one i got it on the crank and ac pulley but there is not much tension never had a/c before so didn't know if there is a way to put more tension on the belt. thanks

If I'm not mistaken, I think the tensioner is the top pulley but I'm not too sure...might want someone else's opinion....

There is an adjusting bolt on top of the bracket,you will need to loosen the lock bolt first. Once you have loosened the lock bolt,turn the bolt counter clockwise to tighten the belt.Good luck
