Default AC recharge hose doesn't fit

2016 Civic 4 door

I purchased an AC recharge kit using the specs in the manual (1234fy), and I got a hose with a gauge to fill it.

The coupling attachment on the hose fits a 1234fy can perfectly, and specifically says it's for a 1234fy system, but the port on the civic is much smaller than the coupling on the hose.

I'm looking all over the place and everything I'm seeing the coupling I have is what people are using. I am wondering if there is a specific model that uses a smaller attachment or is there something I am missing?

Do you have a 134A AC system?

No, 1234yf

The other system has the same coupling, I checked for a while in the store for some sort of adapter and found nothing

Some of these coupler/fittings are tough to get on. Pull up the lock and push hard. It should go.

First off, look at the fitting. If the fitting is smaller than the recharge hose then it is probably the high pressure side.
The low pressure side is larger and goes toward the compressor.
If it is the right refrigerant then it will fit the low side hose.

It specifically says L on the cap and is where the manual and many videos state it will be.

The H side has a bigger cap and is on the smaller hose.

I have tried this, the hose coupling is literally just too big, it's not a force thing, it's basically like the difference between a 5/8 and a 3/4 socket.

Strange??
If it is the correct refrigerant then it should fit??
So it makes me think it could be the wrong refrigerant??

Not that it makes a difference if the thing doesn't fit.
It just doesn't fit
I did notice the fitting on the (can) hose is a quick adapter
