Default D-series question.

Will a 2000 Civic D-series 1.7L block accept a 1995 D-series 1.6L Vtec Head? the plan is to make the whole motor O.B.D. 1 AFTER CONVERSION.

Default RE: D-series question.

Ok first off there is no 1.7 in a 2000 civic. I believe that started with first of the generation 7's. the 2000 model year was the last of the gen 6's. You should have a 1.6 of some shape or form assuming you have a DX or LX trim line the vtec head 95 will indeed bolt on. As far as converting your car to OBD 1. Why? That would be such a pain the *** it wouldn't even be worth it for a daily driver. I believe you would also have to switch the distributors. Don't forget a vtec controller. And do a little research there on hundreds on sites that explain in detail convert non-vtec to vtec.
