Default Going Vacation for a month --> Battery Issue

I am going for a vacation for like 30 days
what i am concern is that is it better to disconnect the battery or just leave it be?
According to one of the technicians, he said the battery will be dead by the time i go back.
but i read in another forum that sometimes disconnecting battery leads to more problems than not disconnecting.

I have honda civic coupe 2007

Anyone who has experience in it?
please help

the battery might die but it wont go bad all you will have to do is hook it up to a trickle charger or speed charger when you get back and it will be fine again.

welcome to the forum. I use to fly back and forth lax to hnl. each 2-3 mos. I have a 02 civic at that time ( still have it. ) I never disconnected the battery. started every time I returned to lax. After 5 years old, the battery did get weak after 1 month of sitting, replaced the battery and again good for 2-3 mos. connected. Mom has an 07 civic lx 4dr. she left for a vacation for 1 month, came back, started the car no problem.

jump start pack is pretty expensive

07 battery is good for est 5 yrs. If it does not last for a few months without starting, the dealer needs to replace it for free!! 5 hondas to date, many left for 2-3 months at a time due to travel, all start with no problems.
Getting a trickle charger is good for future use, I've got 3 and used all 3 at many times for friends and older vehicles with old old batteries. Or when you forget to turn your lights off during the day. ( Me )

acmech52,

Thanks a lot for the insightful information!
It really helps~

I think most of my friends said the same thing that they did not disconnect the battery.
Just want to make sure again

Thanks again
