hood parts broke, not sure what they are called?
Man, after tons of issues with a mechanic, it seems that he didn't shut my hood and I didn't check... so after a long drive I've determined that the hood latch won't latch.
I'm not sure how to fix it, maybe some WD40 would let the spring load allow the latch arm to extend over the bar to hold it in. The only thing keeping the hood down is the little latch that works with the handle used to release the hood entirely. Any idea what the assembly number(s) or how to find them online would be?
Furthermore, the little rod/hook that holds the hood up when working on the engine has bent and snapped into two pieces... (this is the second frigging time)... Any idea what that is called so I can find one to order?
I have a 2000 Honda Civic LX. Everything is factory on it...
Thanks a lot.

you can try a salvage yard, or go to hondaautomotiveparts.com and identify part and nbr. Mag auto parts on this forum can get parts for you at a discount.
you can also look up the part cost on hondaautomotiveparts.com also.
