looking into getting a DD, late 80's - early 90's civic. wanted to know what to look for when checkin these cars out? known or common problems? anything you can think of, i wanna know.

also posted the same thing in the accord forum.. either of these two cars i think would fit my needs.

only problems i'veseen of are the clutch cable going bad, and the exhaust manifold has a double walled which the innerwall would come apart slowing the system down a bit. The front brake disk could come apart. This I saw on 3 different hondas below 1990's. other than those they run for lots of miles, these 3 had 180k + at the time and 2 are still on the road today.
