So theres an oil leak on my Civic and I think its coming from the gasket between the transmission and the engine... Dont know much about gaskets but will appreciate a little help with this. I do know its oil and not transmission fluid because its black... and my oil level is always going down.

People have told me it might be the oil pan but if you own a 93 civic you know the oil pan its on the driver side and the leak its coming from the middle between the engine and the transmission.

If you know how to change this gasket I would appreciate you telling me how.

welcome to the forums.. it might be the side of the oil pan gasket. not hard to change.. if it is a gasket between the engine and tranny you will have to pull to motor to pull the tranny to replace the gasket

 

welcome to the forum. As 91haydenSI explains, the oil pan gasket, go to hondaautomotiveparts.com and enter your car info, it will show the block, oil pan gasket on the trans side.

 

My 1994 accord is leaking in the same area I suspect it to be coming from above on the passenger side above the oil filter there is a black hose I dont know what its called .

 

it can also b the rear main seal! have to pull motor to fix that problem cheap seal tho.
