Customer Concern: How do we reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) after a wheel and sensor have been replaced? Average Reported Mileage: 78673 Tests/Procedures: 1. Hook up a scan tool with the correct Honda software and select "ID Learning" under the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Then use the correct tool to wake up the sensors in the wheel and follow the scan tool instructions. In most cases when you press the button on the wake up tool and the identification number shows up on the scanner, you will need to do this 5 times before moving to the left rear tire. Then move to the right rear and then lastly, the right front tire. If the light keeps flashing and the system will not complete registration, it could be the tools being used to perform the procedure.

2. Some of the tools will try and program this system, then when the vehicle is driven to get the light to stop flashing and finish the program, it will keep flashing. Use the correct tools and TPMS sensors.

3. The sensor ID that the scan tool reads, needs to match the actual ID of the sensor installed in the wheels.
Read the attached document for diagnostic information from Honda. Tech Tips: Reset the TPMS light by means of waking up the TPMS computer and following the instructions on the screen.
There are a lot of issues with some tools being used to reset this system. Call your tool manufacturer for assistance.
