I need to find out how to check transmission fluid in my honda accord LX 1992. it is automatic. i also need to find out what tranny fluid goes in there.

my car started having issues today when itstopped shifting, tried to drive in low gear and thencompletely stop and will not move, though the engine ran and sounded fine.i shut the car down for a few minutes, restarted it and it would gear and move but only for a while, then stopped and would not move again. i figured when it ishot it would not shift. the only thing that worked was reverse. i guessit might be low on tranny fluid....or any other suggestions?
