Default Key Fobs and Hackers, Car Thieves??

Just heard on Clark Howard's PODCAST (The Money Coach (Clark.com, https://clark.com/podcasts/), that hackers are copying the RFI signals from PPLs Key Fobs, in Car theft schemes.

Also he mentioned that some manufacturers are using a system that changes the code after each use. Does anyone know if Honda does, ours a brand new 2023 Hybrid model.

TIA if anyone DOES know :-)

P.S. They do make and sell (AMAZON for one) devices that you can place your RFI Fob in, like those wallets protecting RFI credit cards, but both my Wife & I like the convenience of just leaving our key chains in HER purse, MY pocket :-)

For the Toyota YouTube channels, there is a way to turn off the signals by going out with just a few clicks. Does anyone know how to do that with Honda FOBs?
