I recently got a 2008 Honda Accord LX-S Coupe off of marketplace as a small project car. Had a few minor issues and some things I didn’t think much of but the trunk is giving me a problem.

The latch in the cabin by the drivers side doesn’t function properly and the only way to get the trunk open by pulling the cable with pliers. That was working fine until yesterday. The trunk was opened with the pliers but it didn’t went to close. Before it did like normal, I just had to open the trunk in a weird way but it still opened and closed just fine besides opening it with pliers. But yesterday it didn’t want to close, I tried and tried, and my dad came over and he couldn’t close it either. He moved something on the trunk latch and then tried it close it one last time and this time it finally closed, we tried to open it again right after to see if the problem was fixed and we were good, however, I am not stuck with a trunk that does not open at all. No matter how hard I pull the cable or how I try to
open it, it doesn’t open at all. Not with the keys, not through the cable, and I for the love of god couldn’t find a way to pull the seats down to get to the trunk to see if I could move back whatever switch or lever was moved in order to keep the trunk from unlocking so I would love any suggestions. I need help and I am tired of this issue I’ve tried everyhting and nothing works.
