BF150 will not start hot, will start and stop multiple times when cold.
Hello all and thanks for any input or advice in advance.
The title of the thread explains the issue. Hoping someone has had a similar issue in the past with some form of a resolution /repair. Currently fishing and I can run the engine for 7+hours for the trip with no issues until I turn it off.
A few points of note when you turn it off after it's hot,
No clicking or cranking sounds when you turn the key, it's completely silent.
Control box has power when you try to restart, the engine trim and tilt function still works.
No warning lights or error codes on the control box when this happens
Issue persists after installing a brand new control box
Engine recently serviced
Tried shifting the throttle/gear lever slightly while turning the key, makes no difference
The engine has only stalled unexpectedly while running once, unsure if this was due to getting rope around the prop
When the engine does restart after waiting a few minutes it cranks normally and starts right up, never struggles to turn over
Has anyone had any experience with this issue?
