Default 2017 Honda Civic very small leak

Hi everyone long story short my car needed to be smog It didn’t pass said that there is a permanent code Very small leak. So took it to Dealer and they basically said the same thing and reset the code, advised me to drive around a couple days and try getting it smog again. Didn’t pass again the check engine light came on. Took back to dealer performed a smoke test found a leak. The said they replace a seal that was causing the issue and reset the code once again. Drove it around for a week. Went to get it smog today and was told the same thing. Has anyone else had this issue if so what done to fix it. If you can please help I’d appreciate it.

welcome to the forum. you might want to tell honda that changing the seal did not work, to please recheck it to pass smog.. what state requires you do have a smog check on a 3 year old vehicle? Ca. first 5 years no smog check required.

I have lost two car due to "very small leak". Everything else about the car ran fine.
But, could not get rid of the small leak. So, ended up junking the cars.
They also had so much rust that it just did not make sense to spend more money on them.

I went through the loose gas cap. Bought new and replaced. No go.
Replaced the purge valve because the mechanic said that was the cause. Twice. No joy.
Finally smoke test, results were two broken hose lines. Replaced. No good.
Then tried replacing hoses and charcoal canister. Still failed.
After spending so much time and so much money on mechanics and parts, I tried to fix it myself.
Failed again. Gave up.

Certainly hope you have better luck than me.

keep track of the amount of money you spend, after a certain amount, the smog station with the referee will allow a pass on the smog. (500.00) i think.
